Vickie Curtis is a theater kid-turned-nonfiction filmmaker, writer, and story architect. She has worked as the writer on films including Netflix Originals Chasing Coral and The Social Dilemma, for which she won the 2021 Emmy Award for nonfiction writing. In her work as a writer, Vickie helps to anchor creative teams in a shared vision for the story. She then brings the strategies and tools needed to achieve that vision. Her work has premiered at festivals worldwide, including Sundance Film Festival, Berlinale, SXSW and HotDocs. She came to impact work through film, using nonfiction stories as catalysts for campaigns designed to reshape policies and narratives into more humane and resilient systems. Her impact work has included strategic story consulting for filmmakers, governments, NGOs, public schools, and philanthropic initiatives.
